Raise your hand if you feel like you’ve spent the majority of your life trying to find a way how to feel happier. I’ve tried a lot of things. New diet, exercising more, doing yoga, and more. While those things are all helpful and great ideas, they still never felt like enough to stop the anxious thoughts from always coming up.

One day I understand that I was missing one fundamental step in learning how to feel happier. I needed to modify my thoughts to change my mood, and doing that helps develop a hit mindset, which suggests being resilient, mindful, and focused on growth, and doing that is a lot easier than you might think.

How To Feel Happier By Learning the Different Types of Mindsets

There are two types of mindsets out there: a fixed and a growth mindset. People with a fixed mindset believe that you get what you’re born with and nothing else. So for these people, change is not an option.

Here’s an example of a fixed mindset. I always wanted to be a writer. But I wasn’t sure how to become one. I started a blog, and it failed miserably. So what did they do? They gave up. The voice in their head began to overpower them. The more they repeated the negative thoughts, the more they started to believe them to be true. They accepted these negative thoughts and let them get there.

The problem with having a fixed mindset is that when you fail at something and you see it as an ending, quitting is easy. But what happens if you don’t believe in this? What if you keep going? Even if you are bad at something, that does not mean that you can’t change that. The main lesson that I can take from that to apply to the rest of my life is: Just because you’re bad at something, it doesn’t mean you can’t work on it and get better if you’re not good at one thing, there might be something else that you’re better. That’s called having a growth mindset instead of a fixed one.

A growth mindset is just what it seems to be. It means instead of believing that you are stuck where you are in life, you acknowledge that you are always in a state of constant growth. It means understanding that you can learn anything. Accomplish anything. Everyone can acquire knowledge. Everyone can develop strength. Everybody can fighting weaknesses. Instead of dalliance worrying about being perfect, people with a growth mindset are always checking out ways to be better. Having a growth mindset means seeing failure as an opportunity. Is there an action you’ll take, which may vary from what you had been trying before? Can I evaluate the situation from another point of view? Need help or more training? In fewer words, you could say: learn never to take anything for granted.

What is the failure that you regret?

How are you able to change the word “failing” into “learning”? Remember, people with a growth mindset find out how to feel happier by seeing mistakes as learning opportunities. Think of a situation where you think that you failed in something. Now, write down what you learned from that failure. Therefore, every time you start feeling bad about that failure, remind yourself of what you learned. Remember, learning is never a fail.

Your goal is important. The steps you need to take to reach that goal are fundamental, too. Find small ways to reward yourself throughout the process. If your goal is to run a 5k, celebrate your daily training as an accomplishment as great as running the 5k. Doing this will help you find out how to feel happier by appreciating the method.
